Constellations, a Group Show at

THE ANNEX

"Constellations" was an interactive installation piece that was exhibited at the Annex (by Belong Gallery) as part of a larger group exhibition. Inspired by principles of transparency and reflection, the plexiglass and mirror panels were suspended, laid out, and held up to create a visual path which allowed the pieces to merge with each other, their surroundings, and the visitors looking through them. The purpose of the project was to create in the viewer a sense of infinity, similar to the one we get when looking at constellations. I find that when the human brain is confronted by something so unfathomably large and so unfathomably ancient, there it often wishes to belong.
